Focal Length & Framing
Change the lens view and camera distance. Watch the actor and background change. This is a simple teaching illustration, not a camera-accurate lens simulator.

VFX note: Record lens, focal length, and sensor format when required. If the lens zooms during the shot, tell the VFX supervisor. The demo uses full-frame equivalent focal lengths and does not simulate lens distortion.
Try it: place a CG monitor beside the actor
The room itself helps tell the story. Choose a starting view, then check how much of the room stays in frame.
Pick a view and compare it in both camera modes. More than one lens choice can work; explain your trade-off.
Quick check answers
A shorter focal length usually shows a wider view. At a fixed camera position, a longer focal length makes the subject larger in frame but does not by itself change perspective. When you move the camera to keep subject size the same, the changed camera position changes the perspective relationship.
